Jule (Corradino) Zambetti, 72, of Old Forge, died Sunday in Hospice Community Care, Dunmore following an illness. She and her husband, Anthony “Tony” Zambetti, celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on September 28, 2013.
Born in Taylor and raised in Old Forge, daughter of the late Jackimo and Adeline Giglio Corradino, she was a 1958 graduate of Old Forge High School. Jule was employed throughout her life in the area garment industry, as well as at Topps Chewing Gum Co., Duryea and Colarusso’s Restaurant, Avoca. She was a lifelong parishioner of Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.
Jule’s grandchildren were the center of her life. It was of primary importance to her to spend quality time with them and attend all of their sporting events. She enjoyed crocheting and spending spare time at the casino. Her family desires to acknowledge the nurses at both Traditional Home Health and Hospice and Hospice Community Care, as well as Drs. Salvatore Scialla and Armando Sallavanti, and the staff at NROC, Dunmore for all of their professionalism and genuine care.
Also surviving are two sons, Mark Zambetti, and wife Kim, and Dr. Anthony Zambetti, and wife April; four grandchildren, Mark, Marisa, Gabriella, and Domenico Zambetti; a sister, Adeline Strazik; three brothers, Jack Corradino, and wife Angela, Robert Corradino, and wife Donna, and David Corradino, and wife Mary Ann; a brother-in-law, Fiore “Sonny” Musto, all of Old Forge; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Marion Musto; and a brother-in-law, George Strazik.
The funeral will be Thursday at 9:15 AM from the Victor M. Ferri Funeral Home, Robert J. Gillette, Funeral Director, 522 Fallon St., Old Forge with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in St. Mary of the Assumption Church at Prince of Peace Parish, West Grace at Lawrence Street, Old Forge to be celebrated by the Rev. August A. Ricciardi, pastor. Interment services will follow in Old Forge Cemetery.
